Utopai Studios, formerly the AI startup Cybever, has officially launched as a film and TV studio with two ambitious flagship projects: Cortés, a sweeping historical epic about Hernán Cortés and the Aztec empire, and Project Space, a sci-fi action series. By integrating AI technologies like 3D worldbuilding, previsualization, and cinematic rendering from the earliest stages of production, Utopai aims to make “unfilmable” stories achievable at lower cost and higher creative flexibility. The studio is led by Cecilia Shen and Marco Weber, and has partnered with visualization specialists Opsis and sales company K5 International to strengthen its pipeline and global reach. This move positions Utopai as a pioneer in blending AI innovation with traditional filmmaking expertise, potentially reshaping how Hollywood tackles large-scale, risk-heavy productions.
