Phil Sawyer

Phil Sawyer is Chief of Staff at Utopai Studios, where he works across leadership, people operations, and organizational strategy to help the company scale effectively. His role spans executive coordination, team structure, HR strategy, and the systems that support Utopai’s creative, production, and technology teams as the studio grows.

Before becoming Chief of Staff, Sawyer served as Senior People Operations Manager at Utopai, where he built much of the company’s people and HR infrastructure through a period of rapid growth. He is also co-founder of Tarock, a personality platform that grew to 25,000 users, and previously held people and operations roles at ASTONE Consulting, Atrium, and Starseed.

Sawyer holds a BSc in neuroscience, pharmacology, and psychology from the University of Vermont. At Utopai, he brings a people-centered approach to organizational development, helping ensure the company’s structure, culture, and leadership systems can support its ambitions as it grows.
