Carsten began his career as an assistant editor in television ("Make It Or Break It," "Covert Affairs") before transitioning into feature films on major titles such as "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," and "World War Z." Throughout this period, he was mentored by respected and award-winning editors, including Lori Jane Coleman, ACE, Richard Halsey, ACE, Matt Chesse, ACE, Kirk Baxter, ACE, Angus Wall, ACE, and Chris Rouse, ACE. He advanced to feature editor with the drama-thriller "Squatters," starring Gabriella Wilde and Richard Dreyfuss, directed by Martin Weisz. His subsequent credits include the indie drama "Fort Bliss," the sci-fi kids' adventure "Earth To Echo," the Netflix reboot of "Benji," the neo-Western "The Bygone," the action-comedy "Jolt," starring Kate Beckinsale, and the latest chapter in the Rambo franchise, "Rambo: Last Blood." His recent feature work includes the adaptation of the cult hit "Kung Fury," starring Michael Fassbender and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes hybrid "Coyote Vs ACME," which received significant media attention regarding its distribution. He currently serves as the co-director of the annual ACE Internship, a prestigious industry mentorship program for emerging editors.
