About the Role
We're hiring a Finance & Accounting Associate to support production accounting, financial administration, and analysis alongside our corporate finance team. You'll work across productions and on the corporate side of the business, making this a strong fit for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure and room to grow as the company scales.
What You'll Do
Production Accounting Support
- Process accounts payable for productions, including vendor invoices, purchase orders, check requests, and petty cash reconciliations
- Code and track production costs against budgets, and help prepare weekly cost reports and estimates to complete
- Support payroll coordination with payroll service providers, including timecard review and reconciliation
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9 collection and 1099 preparation
- Help set up and wrap productions, including account setup, audit support, and closeout documentation
Financial Administration
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Manage expense reporting, corporate credit card reconciliation, and cash tracking
- Maintain organized, audit-ready files and support internal controls and policy compliance
- Help document and improve finance processes as the team grows
Analysis and Corporate Finance Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the production and company level
- Prepare schedules, reports, and ad hoc analysis for finance leadership
- Help evaluate tools and workflows that make finance operations more efficient, including AI-enabled solutions
- Various ad hoc requests to support finance objectives within the organization
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in production accounting, corporate accounting, or a related finance role
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and GAAP
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear communication and comfort working with creative and production teams
- A proactive, builder mindset suited to a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with production accounting or entertainment payroll providers
- Familiarity with entertainment tax incentives, guild and union requirements, or production budgeting
- Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct
- Interest in AI and how technology is changing entertainment
Compensation
$85,000 – $95,000 base salary.
